Useful questions, answered
Where can I see completed pools with a PebbleCrete finish?
In Thailand, at public venues such as Holiday Inn Patong splash pad (Patong, Phuket); Kata Sea Breeze Resort and The SIS Kata (Kata, Phuket); Sugar Marina Lagoon Splash Park and Dewa Resort (Nai Yang, Phuket); Coriacea Boutique Resort (Mai Khao, Phuket); Anantara Koh Yao and Koyao Island Resort (Phang Nga); Samui Water Park (Koh Samui); Ramayana Water Park and Ocean Marina Resort (Pattaya); Tha Chang Beach Club (Bangsaen); outside Thailand, at Centara Mirage Beach Resort Dubai (Dubai Islands, United Arab Emirates) and Garden City Water Park (Phnom Penh, Cambodia). Access is decided by each venue. Samples and colours can be seen at our display at Thai Watsadu Thalang and at our showroom in Sa Khu, Phuket, Monday to Saturday, 9:00–17:00. More projects: PebbleCrete projects and, for pools applied by Pebble Pools, a separate company, pebblepools.co.th/projects.
Where can I buy PebbleCrete?
At our display at Thai Watsadu Thalang and our showroom in Sa Khu, Phuket (Monday–Saturday, 9:00–17:00), or via LINE @pebblecrete.
How much does PebbleCrete cost?
Showroom prices per 25 kg bag, including VAT: PebbleCrete Classic 1,053.61 THB, PebbleCrete Supreme 2,356.74 THB, PebbleCrete Glass 3,743.06 THB. At the planning coverage of about 1.8 m² per bag (10 mm), this is roughly 590, 1,310 and 2,080 THB per m² respectively — material only, excluding white cement, delivery and application. Prices are indicative and may change.
What white cement is used with PebbleCrete?
A white Portland cement bought locally, for example TIGER DECOR White Cement for Terrazzo (SCG), sold in building-material stores across Thailand. Please check the current price with the seller.
Do you deliver?
Delivery within Phuket is free. For other provinces in Thailand, please ask us for delivery terms.
Is the aggregate finish the waterproofing layer?
No. The decorative finish does not replace structural repairs or the waterproofing required by the project. The shell, render, bonding and waterproofing need their own agreed scope.
Will the water look exactly like the sample image?
Sample images are illustrations. They give a general idea of colour, texture and particle size and show the finish wet; the sample triangle represents about 12 cm of surface. PebbleCrete is made from natural stone, glass or both and is applied by hand, so colour and the mix of particles vary from batch to batch and from pool to pool. Lighting, screens, water depth and surroundings also change how a finish looks. These images are not a substitute for a physical sample. Always confirm your choice with a current physical PebbleCrete sample, viewed wet. Before work starts, we recommend that your applicator makes an on-site mock-up (test panel) for you to approve. The finished surface should be judged against the approved mock-up and physical sample, not against the images on this site. PebbleCrete supplies the material. Unless PebbleCrete has agreed otherwise in writing, the application, the mock-up and the finished result are the responsibility of the owner and their applicator. Depth, sunlight, shade and surroundings also affect the appearance of water in a completed pool.
Can an aggregate finish be combined with tile?
Yes, as a coordinated design. Tile can form selected waterlines or other details. Define the interfaces, joints and waterproofing, especially where surfaces alternate between wet and dry.
How should I calculate the finish area?
Use the surface to be covered: floors, walls, steps and other finished details. A pool’s water-surface area is only its plan area and does not include all those surfaces.
Where are the detailed application instructions?
In the Method Statement for the material and agreed construction system, available on request. Confirm the revision with the applicator before ordering or starting work.
